Energy Efficiency

Alpha Maintenance & Building is currently one of two main Contractors chosen by Mitchells & Butlers to work with this rapidly  growing Department with a view to rolling out Loft and DraftInsulation at over 200 sites. This is an on-going programme  that will eventually see all sites made more energy efficient. This is an area that Alpha Maintenance is working closely with all  its clients to look at and achieve maximum energy efficiency.

Construction Skills Certification Scheme

CSCS Cards – All Engineers employed by  Alpha Maintenance have got a current CSCS card.

The Construction Skills Health & Safety test sets the standard for the industry. 

Taken by over 500,000 people every year, it ensures that everyone working in construction has a minimum level of health and safety awareness.  The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card is the industry’s largest scheme and, at present, covers 220 occupations including trades, technical, supervisory and management.  Most contractors and clients now demand proof of competence, before allowing workers onto their sites, which is provided by a CSCS card.

We are proud to place a strong emphasis on the Safety and Heath of our employees and our clients.  The CSCS card is an outward sign of our commitment - but we go further to ensure that everyone is safe at work.

Apprenticeships

We are delighted to announce we have 3 Apprentices attending New College in Nottingham.  We are investing in their future. We are keen to develop the skills in our industry so that we can develop our business based on sound skills of people we have developed and who work in the way we need them to.

Over the next couple of years, the apprentices will be taking their NVQ’s in different disciplines, for example in plumbing,  in joinery and in General Construction
